Good quality. Fingerprint resistant to a certain point.Muy buen acabadoThis toilet roll holder replaced our IKEA one (which was pulled off the wall by the kids!!) About the same price but I was surprised how nice it looked. Would like to replace the others. Maybe I can convince the kids to be a bit boisterous in the other bathrooms, hehe! It's just good to have something nicer to look at while you are doing your business. I am not sure how much time you are spending on the toilet in your life - if you are interested, I found the following statistics online:A study found men spend an hour and 45 minutes every week going to the toilet – whereas women get everything over with in a mere 85 minutes a week. The poll of 2,500 people revealed going to the toilet accounts for the biggest chunk of time spent in the bathroom – an average of one hour and 42 minutes a week, or almost 92 days over a lifetime. That’s 2208 hours, which equates to about the time of Earth’s seasonal cycle.I thought you needed to know!I've wanted this style of loo roll holder for a while and while this looks the part it's not quite up to scratch which is disappointing considering that it's by Brabantia. The weak points:The back plate is made of plastic which seems cheap. The front plate has no tension at all so the toilet paper does not tear cleanly. I'm always tearing off too much or too little and the end on the roll finds itself bunched up under the flap which is more annoying than not having it at all if you don't need the flap to deter pets and tots from unwinding the roll. The "white" version is actually cream. The good points:The hook for the roll is reversible which is great as one needs a little more clearance than the width of the roll to thread it.The hook is deep at the open end so that the roll won't jump off it it's pulled at an oblique angle. The upside of the limp flap is that there's no danger of fingers getting pinched.Supplied with (ridiculously long) screws and rawl plugs.I actually mounted mine onto tile with two command strips which has proven very successful (make sure you hear a clear, loud snapping noise when pushing the strips together). I paid £7.50 for mine including postage which seems fair, but I would consider it borderline overpriced in a shop at the same due to the cheap backing and the lack of tension of the front flap leading to an unsatisfactory dispensing experience.Simple design and easy to fit with two rawplugs supplied. (These plugs are actually quite a good design and I did use them rather than reach for my box of fischer ones.) The flap rests on the loo roll and stops it running out effectively. I would have wanted it to to hold in the tissue roll a little more so you could tear one of with a jerk, but this still needs a finger pressing down to create enough friction to do this.Looks efficient, but utlitarian - clean but not pretty! It looks sleek, unnoticeable when in the bathroom, but pleasant to look at and use when it comes to it. However it is the last thing in the bathroom I want to clean as it is not easy to make it shiny and streak free. Possibly because too much effort goes into polishing it it started peeling of the wall, so we'll have to use screws to attach it. Unless you are the one who has to clean it, you'll love everything about it.Quite disappointing. I love brabantia and have their products all over my house but this has a design flaw in that when you twat off the loo roll the loose end is then under the flap so you have to lift it to find it which young children struggle with
