I much prefer this type of toilet paper holder. The Moen Madison toilet paper holder is solid and heavy. It holds the paper securely. Of note, if you purchase this type of paper holder, it is important that you install it such that the open end of the holder is facing away from the toilet and not towards the toilet so that the toilet paper roll will not fall off of the holder every time you use it. One negative about this holder is that it is not designed to allow one to reverse the part that holds the toilet paper roll. The only way to reverse it so that you can put the holder on the right of the toilet is to put it on upside down, thus exposing a small screw that should be on the bottom. It is not a big deal but if I had it to do over again, I would purchase Moen DN8408CH instead of this one. I purchased the Moen DN8408CH at the same time I purchased the Moen Madison and I prefer Moen DN8408CH because you can reverse the holder for left or right without turning it upside down and exposing a screw.I did read that this installs in only one direction before buying, but the photo shows it going in the direction I needed. If course when it arrived, it was the opposite. I thought about just installing it upside down, but the screw hole on top was pretty big and I knew it would bug me looking at it every day. Returned and bought the Madison standard 2 post tp holder.Got this holder to match some towel hooks I purchased for a bathroom redo. I love that it's easier for my kiddos to replace an empty toilet paper roll now than before. Unfortunately, my holder didn't come with the small screw that secures the holder itself to the mount, but I was able to find another screw in my garage that fit (would have been 5 stars otherwise)I ordered the full set, Paper holder, Hand Towel and Shower Towel holders. In all the quality is good but I did have one issue with the paper holder. I'm not sure if the set screw was installed loose or it came loose after 3 weeks of use, but the paper bar came out because of it. Was easy enough to reinstall, just need to watch it in the future.Serves its purpose. Well made & quality is good. It is convenient to use when changing TP rolls bc you don't have to deal with the spring loader contraption, but I wish the end on this did a better job keeping the TP roll in place when in use.Attractive and easy to put together. Wish you could change direction of the side you mount to. Only way you can, is to turn the whole unit over, but then you would see the looking screw on the top.(::edit:: keeps falling apart changing to 3 star) Looks great just keep in mind you will need a precisian flat head screwdriver for the set screwLooks great and so convenient for replacing old rolls with new!They only are for one direction and the screw holding the holder in place keeps coming loose.
