Not a fan of sponges – they smell after a while, get bits of food stuck in them, and overall, I find them nasty. Even after running through the dishwasher, I don’t like sponges. Still, after friend mentioned these, I thought I’d give them a try…These are fantastic! Everything I love about sponges, nothing I hate! These are so nice to use – we use them as dishcloths and counter wipes. They’re kind of thin, like a dish cloth, but seem to have better scrubbing power. They also hold more soap suds, making dish cleaning far easier. And they soak up more liquid than dish clothes which is great when wiping countertops – or anything really. I end up washing them more often than our dishcloths, too, as we run our dishwasher daily – so I put a couple in the dishwasher every other day, get a couple more out. No odor, easy to dry. And food bits don’t get stuck in them, either. During tomato season, a couple got discolored, but after running through the dishwasher a couple times… back to normal! The only thing that’s a little odd about them is when they dry… They shrink, and become stiff. Edges curl. I dry mine flat, but don’t count on them lying flat – I’d cut one to fit on our coffee drip tray – and it absorbed the drips wonderfully, but the sponge dries and curls, and the coffee pot won’t sit on it.I really do not use these in place of paper towels – I reserve paper towels for things that *must* go in the trash after cleaning up… even for drying fruit and washed veggies, I use cotton towels. These will need to last a good six months though, to be worth the cost.Love these. I use them for nearly everything, wiping down counters, dusting, dishes etc. trying to find ways to replace my paper towel use. When dirty in between uses like dusting etc I just rinse out in sink, and at the end of the day I’ll put it in my dishwasher when I’m running a cycle. It’s not just replacing the product, paper towels. It lasts significantly longer so that’s less product you are buying which adds more money to your wallet and cuts down on everything that goes with stocking paper towels (creating them in factories at huge rates due to how much product we go through quickly, the many trucks shipping such these large space consuming products to stores.. when 2-3 of these Swedish sheets can replace an entire Costco sized bundle)These dish clothes are one of the best purchases I've made. I was wanting a dish cloth that wouldn't stain or stink (even after bleaching) or have to be replaced way too soon. These cover all three wants. They are easy to clean as I use the dishwasher top rack and then air dry. They are a nice rag for a streak free glass and also the stove top. They do not fold after air drying and are ridged until being wet again so that took some time to get use to. They also aren't the best for scrubbing any food that is stuck on so I just use my soft scrubber still. So there are some negatives, but I'm willing to over look this because it met my needs.I have tried multiple reusable dishcloths and these are my favorite. You can wet and reuse them multiple times. They absorb moisture well and are great for wiping down counters and stovetops and can be used with natural cleaning products. They do shrink about 1" on all sides after first use and dried. They can be handwashed, put in the dishwasher, or in the washing machine (I let them hand dry). They will start to smell after a handful of uses. I use one for about 3 days before laundering. I'm still not able to quit paper towels completely, but I've greatly reduced my use of them since using these (it now takes me several months to go through a single paper towel roll).I am obsessed with these! I needed something to clean my kids’ faces and hands that wouldn’t get mildewed like our other kitchen cloths and these are it!I was worried they weren’t going to be soft enough to feel like a regular washcloth but they are soft and dry so quickly, the messes I clean up with them rinse right off which helps them not get stinky. The price point is great, will definitely buy again.Very happy with these. They are super absorbent and have slight ridges throughout so they pick up crumbs, etc. easily. When the cloths are wet they smell a little like wet cardboard. I much prefer this to the moldy smell of the "blue wipes" I used to use. I also like that that are available in different colors!I am a huge fan of Swedish dish cloths and have been using them for years. I have been wanting some solid black ones due to the fact my cute ones with patterns and other colors always get stained.Prior to seeing this brand, I had only found one option for solid black swedish dishcloths on Amazon - 3 for $15 dollars. This brand offered 6 for $18 and they arrived with zero plastic packaging! Seems like an ethical company that supports disabled workers AND sustainability. They are absorbent and help me drastically reduce my paper towel usage. Will definitely purchase these again! These cleaning cloths are one of my greatest Amazon discoveries. Keeping one handy in the kitchen leads to much less waste from paper towels to clean up messes. I keep one handy in the bathroom as well. This is the second time I've bought a pack of these. The first pack I would throw in the wash and reuse them multiple times and the whole first pack lasted me over two years! These DO NOT come wrapped in plastic, ignore the reviews that didn’t bother to contact the company - I did and the wrapper is CORN STARCH which is 100% biodegrade.I was skeptical about the product but figured I could return if unhappy. On arrival I thought ‘Oh dear’ and that I had paid for expensive, flimsy low quality material and I nearly returned. However, on wetting one I have found it to be AMAZING. Absorbent and strong plus I am glad to be rid of the garish colours in supermarkets. I’ve been using the first one over a week and it’s fab, all heavy cooking stains just rinse out so no dirty looking cloth plus it’s taken cream cleaner and hobrite without any sign of disintegration. So far, VERY HAPPY!I was so pleased to be able to buy some grey dishcloths to blend in with my new sink and worktop and these Superscandi Swedish Dishcloths, being eco friendly, were just what I was looking for. They arrive super flat and dehydrated in eco friendly packaging (another plus point) and only require a short soak in water and then a good squeeze to get them ready to use. I was surprised at the strength and absorbency of these cloths, although having been used to more chunky kitchen sponges I did feel I would have liked them a bit thicker as they do feel a bit floppy when wet, hence the 4 stars. Something that could easily be remedied in the future with a small design tweak.Having only just bought them I can't comment on their longevity but these do feel good quality and if they last as long as claimed they will be good value for money and kinder to the environment, a huge plus point. Would recommend.Hope you found this review and photographs helpful.EDIT : Have used these cloths for 3 months now and am very pleased with them. Haven't even used all of them yet as they wash up well and there are no signs of tearing or thinning yet. So big thumbs up for durability. Great product and have revised to 5 stars as they are way better than the supermarket sponges that disintegrate and rip after little use.The first cloth of the pack lasted 10 weeks. It didn't ever shred little bits which I was pleased about. I probably could have easily got another couple of weeks use from it but it was beginning to look a bit shabbly. Previously I've bought supermarket ones that look just the same but obviously aren't! One of those cloths would last me 2 weeks by which time it would be shedding little bits all over the place, so annoying. I soaked the swedish cloth in a bit of bleach a couple of times a week and ran it through the washing machine once a week; this kept it looking nice and clean and fresh. The pack is much more expensive than a pack of supermarket cloths but by my reckoning will end up being cheaper in the long run. The only criticism I have with the pack is the off-white coloured cloth which I can't see me using for 10 weeks because after only 2 days of use it looks grubby and a light bleach soak doesn't seem to be fixing this. I'd say off-white is a poor colour choice for a cleaning cloth. These cloths are nothing like the original Swedish cloths. They stink within a day, we wash them start using them again and they stink straight away. These they are not worth the money (even though they are cheaper than the brand name Swedish Cloths). They work as a ‘normal’ cloth, wipe up well and absorb well but, I’ll say it again they stink up really quick. We can’t use ours in the kitchen anymore.Absolutely game changing. It's March 2020 so those of us experiencing it will understand the sudden urge to find a more sustainable solution to kitchen roll. So glad I did and I'll continue to use them when life resumes.Very absorbent, hold a sharpie marking to identify ones for meat surfaces, non-meat etc Wash very well. Delivered with no plastics either so very pleased and can recommend them enough.
