This works great on the counter which we prefer rather than mounting on the wall. It looks good and is sturdy. After very many purchases and experimentation, over almost a year, we settled easily on microfiber 'lens' cloths to replace our paper towel use. They wash with any load and do not need to be put in the dryer; they dry even if left in a pile.We chose the taupe color because it shows much less staining than all other colors except black. The Wholesale Store version was chosen for its large pack, single color, and 75 cents/ea price. I admit that I hope Wholesale Store will add 'fashion' design selections in the future, with earthtone backgrounds. It turns out humans have a cloth-size expectation from habitual paper towel use, so we liked a 10x10 size best. We also have the muscle memory to discard it in the trash, so we put a receptacle on/inside the trash door (see images), and collect the cloths (to put in the washing machine from there). There are holder dispensers for other sizes, but the 10x10 cloth size gives a nice result for a trifold 'paper' towel holder style (I use the Z Multi folding method, see images), of which there are many to choose from.We settled on the Cozee Bay Bamboo 'Paper' Towel Dispensers, placed in three locations - one wall mount and 2 in upper cabinets with an access hole below (see images). Although they hold much more, 30 towels in each is plenty for our use.Because there are 5 adults using these dispensers and towels, I don't know that we could do without the lovely extra 'weight' aka 'adapter' provided with the Cozee Bay version. I do not regret paying more (than other versions) to have it, at all. Every other aspect of the Cozee Bay version is also excellent (we utilized 2 of the color choices). We did take some height off the top of the boxes for the Vintage Brown installations, and re-made the 'scoop' (which we have not rubbed dark stain on yet).Only negative is the company label is on the ftont of the box. I selected black, so I plan to use a dab of my left over black paint to cover it.I chose pale green. The color is soft and pleasing. As in another review, mine also had black spots embedded in the paint. Exchange was effortless and timely. There was one small dark spot with the exchange but I decided to keep it anyway and I'm pretty picky. Installation is simple. Design is pleasing and operationally efficient. If I didn't like the color so well, I would opt for the natural unpainted bamboo. The paint job isn't great but fortunately unnoticeable unless you're looking for it and you run the risk of getting a manufacturing defect black spot and bubbles. Painted, you could mistake the dispenser as being plastic until you touch it. It has a nice feel. All in all, I like the dispenser and would purchase again.Perfect for when company visitsEspecially with CovidGood product, easy install, and sturdy.Don't do it. I bought it thinking it was cool and trendy and it was. However, paper towels dont play well with wood or any other non-slick surface. I tried using it with paper towels dispensing below... need 2 hands and they will rip. Tried dispensing above... the wood insert slides to the side and jams the paper towels in. Then I bough the less attractive Tork brand and it works perfect. Yeah, it's not as nice looking but nobody cares about that when they cant get a towel out of the dispenser. Don't do it. Trust me.Looks good, and easy to attach. Keeps paper towels off of the counter top. Much better system than using countertop paper towels.
