These things are HUGE - I love them for that alone. I read the measurements in the description before ordering but it didn't really register in a "real life" kind of way. They're extra-large towels, I'm an extra-large person, sounds good to me. When they got here I unfolded them and thought "Wow! Those are big... but they're kind of thin so they may not be much good to me." Except they are. They are very absorbent, softer than seems possible, and are holding up well after two trips through the laundry (the color faded very slightly), I don't have any particular complaints in that department.I think they're a little pricey at the list price (I got mine gratis through the Vine Voice program) but I see they are running a special right now that puts them at what I consider a reasonable price. So, assuming the price stays in that range it all comes down to what you're look for; if you want a set of oversized towels that are functional and look good enough for the in-laws then you can't go wrong with these. If you're expecting a visit from the President or the Pope then you may want to find something more fancy.Bottom line: I like 'em. Assuming they continue to hold up reasonably well I may purchase another set. If you are a big guy or gal (or if you just like to have huge towels) then these will work just fine for you in pretty much all circumstances (beach, pool, home, etc).Update:These are actually growing on me. I've taken them with me on a few trips now and I am finding them to be surprisingly absorbent. Despite my initial concerns about quality/fraying, these are holding up well to being tossed about in a gear bag and the cargo area in the back of my car.I bumped the stars up to 4. Still knocking a star for arriving snagged. They still feel a little overpriced to me, but I'd actually probably buy these again. They've been better than my initial perceptions.---- original ----Basically, I like these okay. I bought them to take kayaking for wiping down/drying me, dogs, kayaks and whatever else. These will be fine for that and I like the size. Note that I got the two pack of green - plus.Stitching is decent. Seams are good. They don't seem to be weirdly cut or anything. So points for that. Feel like they will be decently absorbent for what I want them for, but haven't tested that theory yet. They are basically to be used as dog towels, so I'm not looking for a lot here.Nitpicks:1. One of the towels has a big snag in the middle of it. Big thread pulled out right in the middle. I suspect cutting that off is going to have undesirable consequences, like a hole resulting in the towel. Again, dog towel, so not losing sleep over this.2. Price point. I don't feel like this is almost $30 worth of towels. I would not pay almost $15 a piece for these in a store. I could get a similar or better quality beach towel for less at Wally World. Especially not a snagged towel. Imho, these are a little bit overpriced.Would I buy them again or recommend them to a friend? Probably not, based on price. Am I particularly disappointed in them? Nah, not really. So kinda on the fence on these. They are okay. They aren't terrible. They aren't amazing.These towels look nice and fold well and aren't too bulky however they are relatively thin and don't absorb as well as I would want a beach towel too. The underside is also not quite as soft as some of the beach towels we already own. I'm not sure if they will soften up with some more washes.I got these towels as my husband really likes having a LARGE towel in the bathroom for his showers. I like big towels too, but he really does.I was fairly unimpressed when these arrived. The size was as expected, and testing it right away after washing my hands, it clearly was absorbent. But the listing led me to expect something softer and more luxuriant. My husband said, " I love having extra large towels and the area kind of makes up for the thinness."After washing, however, they fluffed up. (I don't use anything fancy in the laundry. Tide in the washing machine, nothing extra in the dryer.) We only washed one initially, and the difference in thickness is visible. It feels so much nicer.I tried to capture it in a photo, but it isn't *that* visible, I guess.Still, this towel keeps getting softer, and it seems like it will hold up well.We are helping with hurricane relief efforts and these towels are coming in handy. They are a great size to lay on the sand and hold a lot of items (coolers, equipment etc) that the volunteers don't want to get dirty. Because they are large enough for this need, there is no doubt someone laying on the beach will have no problem fitting on them! It is great that they are 100% cotton because they'll wash up well after their maiden use.These feel like normal terry cloth towels. The softness on this is ok, not as soft as I expected. The colors are vibrant and my daughter loves yellow so these got taken to her bathroom immediately. Pretty pleased with how they look. She said they work good.Hi, I picked up the Charcoal Plus. The are 30” by 75”. A great size for a beach towel. I live at the beach and you can never have enough beach towels. They go missing quick. These are thick and absorbent. The color is great dark grey and white. They also match my bathroom. So I can have them in the bathroom. If anyone once to go to the beach. They will be with the Beach Towels. It’s made from pure 100% cotton and one side is super nice on your feet and body. They are machine washable. I would recommend to family and friends. 4 Stars. Oh, these towels would do great at the beach, bathroom, poolside, doggie or kitty towels, lake towels, gym or spa towels. This towels would do great with all of thos activities.
