I calculated the sq ft price for various bulk (more than 6 rolls) paper towel offers from a couple of sites. These came up with the lowest price. I have a big clean up job on hand and wasn't expecting anything from these paper towels. Now I love them. Are these Bounty or Viva towels on low budget? No. But they clean well, hold together better than some brand towels when wet and don't leave behind fuzz like, for instance Viva does. They are single ply. So to get rid of a liquid you have to use them to wipe, you can't just use them like a sponge and throw them down to suck up the wet. One of the surprises, though, was that when I used them to wipe my wet hands, my hands get dry and there is no gritty residue as with some other brands. They come individually wrapped, but as is pretty much true for all brands, the wraps sometimes aren't sealed completely and thus that packaging isn't bug proof. I transfer the rolls to seaed storage bins and bags on delivery. They don't always completely tear at the perforation and a small scrap may stay with the next sheet. But they tear much better than Georgia Pacific that had about half the roll without any noticeable perforations at all. They come off the roll just right, you don't get them unrolling while you just want one sheet or stick to the roll like Viva, that you practically have to peel off the roll. The sheets are full size, but tear easily to any size you want if you pinch them between your fingers at the desired tear site. Another surprise since they hold together so well in use. I have accidentally flushed an individual sheet and it went through alright, but if you have someone who flushes paper towels you might want some that disintigrate fast when wet. These don't. They wipe and scrub well, wet or dry. The sheets are textured with one side being rougher than the other. They are a lot softer and more pliable than restroom dispenser paper towels. I haven't done a detailed comparison of how much I use, but these last longer than Genuine Joe that always seem to require two sheets for everyithng despite the fact they ae 2-ply. I'll use these Scott towels for small cat messes and general use. For spills, big messes and when I have company I'll break out the prime brand paper towels at several times the price per sq ft. Update: The second delivery of these were slightly higher price with slightly lower quality, but I stick by my original description. I'm just not happy to get inconsistent products at higher prices.
