I wanted a sturdy toilet paper holder with a shelf because I carry my phone in my back pocket and it needs a home while I'm in the bathroom. Although we haven't installed it yet I feel this will be a very handy addition to our tiny RV bathroom. It's less costly than similar products but with good workmanship. The front edge turns down rather than up so that may be a consideration depending on the application. It's fine for me.It was extremely well-packed! No scratches (we'll do that), and even gloves for initial handling.Liked easy to install and very sturdy.How I find myself writing an extensive review for a toilet paper roll holder on Amazon is beyond me . But here I am. This toilet paper holder exceeded my expectations. It's didn't finish is superb. The packaging was completely unexpected. It came so well packaged I was in shock. The piece itself was wrapped nicely in cloth so it didn't get scratched or damaged, it even came with a pair of soft cotton gloves to install it so you didn't get fingerprints and so forth on it. It also came with instructions that actually made sense and you can read. Imagine that, instructions to install a toilet paper roll holder, not that it even really needed it. Even the instructions were printed on better grade paper. All I can say to that is, wow. It comes with hardware to attach to walls, but also comes with two large two sided adhesive pads.The only thing I can say negative about this product is for whatever reason, despite how tacky these adhesive pads are, the adhesion is not quite as secure as it first appeared. One of the 3 holders that I bought fell off the wall within a couple days. I can't say why because I wasn't there when it happened, and I don't think the wall anyting to do with it because one of the other holders is on the same type wall and the third one is on a metal partition, but it kinda seems a little unsecure when I went back to test it after the one fell off the wall. Only a little unsecured though and I don't know why cause they seen like strong adhesives. As of right now it's still holding up none the less and the other one that is attached to the same kind of wall that first one fell off from is holding up as well.That is the only thing I can say negative about this whole purchase from ordering it to shipping it to receiving it the box it came in how it was packaged how the item looked and was built, everything. Never thought I would rave about a toilet paper roll holder...?This didn't cover up the holes from the old dispenser. The double sided tape didn't function during install. Wouldn't peel one side. I would prefer count sunk screws vs whatever these where and the caps. Nothing stops items from slipping off top of dispenser. No groves or textures. I got what I paid for and am generally happy.If this was installed during built I can angle the holder plate towards the wall and there would be no holes to cover up.Was replacing the standard basic holder that required the center rod to be removed when replacing a roll. So, wanted something that was open ended for easier roll replacement. Found a lot of products but many reviews of those mentioned that their roll would slip off the open end. This item doesn't have that issue as its end has a taller 'lip'. Looked at many products that held 2 rolls but many didn't have an open end and some required a cutting out so it could be mounted recessed in a wall. This one has 2 opposing ends and mounts with just 2 screws. It's extremely stable in my situation (mounted on side of a wooden cabinet). If it wouldn't have worked well, I was planning on using a small screw with locking washer and nut. But it worked very well and I'm happy with its sturdiness. I don't have anything resting on the shelf but it's nice to know it's there for a possible future need. The shelf is level and doesn't decline and is extremely solid regarding its angle (won't bend); feels commercially strong and my wife agreed. The size isn't excessively large or long; it's just right. We always purchase the Mega rolls (4x size) and they fit easily and has a little more room to spare. I chose the chrome color and it cleaned up nicely with a high polish. This is absolutely the perfect solution and far exceeds what I was looking for. Hope this helps someone.I originally found this product at one of those bindrop places where Amazon returns go. Got it for $7 I think. Very convenient. Easy to use. Now I have a place to set my phone down. Ordered another one for the guest bathroom.10/10Easy to install.I did not want to drill holes in the bathroom tiles. The adhesive tape holds great on ceramic tile.Finish is nice chrome. Fits in tight spot. Fits large roll of toilet paper.The toilet paper holder in my rental kept coming out of the wall so I replaced it with this nifty holder. Quick fix. I was going to use the 3m sticker but decided to use the screws instead and it was easy peasy (single chick here). The shelf is super convenient. Can use to hold your cell phone or a package of wet wipes, whatever your fancy. Not sure why others have had issues but seems to hold my triple and mega rolls just fine. Best purchase of 2021!Excellent quality, very well finished, strong and sturdy...exactly as advertised. I reviewed a lot of similar products, some that were less expensive, but usually you get what you pay for, so I chose this one...partly because of the excellent reviews. Only thing is, the plastic anchors & screws that come in the box are useless...but I don't think that's a reason to give this item less than 5 stars. This toilet paper holder is heavy, so should be screwed in. Buy some toggle drywall anchors that spread behind the drywall if you have to mount it on drywall, and use #8 wood screws. Also try to at least put one screw into a stud. I had access to the wall behind my drywall, so I took a 2x4 and cut it 14 1/2" long, turned it on it's side, and screwed it between the studs behind where I mounted this holder.Product took forever to arrive, and arrived broken/bent, despite the packaging being good. Very disappointing and couldn't bring myself to commit to waiting for a replacement. Maybe a good product, but I wouldn't know.
