It is not big enough for the cheap square napkins we use every day. It’s great under that knowledge, just wanted folks to know in advance!Plan on putting smaller napkins in here or they fall over! Cute and sturdy thoughIt’s of good quality but I wish the metal part was taller to fit different napkin sizes.I tried this with my regular napkins and they just flopped over the side. This would be a great cocktail napkin holder! I love the look and the felted feet on the bottom. I wouldn’t be worried at all that this would scratch my glass tabletop. If you want a cocktail napkin holder, you can’t beat this one!Another great item to multi-purpose. It will be used in my house to hold miscellaneous office supplies like small note pads which just seem to end up all over the desk looking messy. Not only is it not as kitchen-looking as many napkin holders, this one is downright attractive. It is also heavy and sturdy enough that it doesn't tip when I pull out a pad. Since it is sturdy for that purpose then one can assume it would not tip over when a napkin is pulled out.The base is real wood while the wire racks are black metal. There is almost 2" between the two sides so that doubtless is a lot of napkins (IMO recommended for folded napkins). The napkin holder has four thick felted pads at each corner on the bottom to protect furniture. So again, even though I'm not using it as a napkin holder with the yanking involved, the holder stays put when I pull a pad. Finally, I like that it isn't as tall as many napkin holders since the shorter height gives it a more retro look. Great holder, recommended!
