It's very pricy for a paper towel holder. With that said, at least it serves its purpose well and works as expected. It's plastic but feels to be of at least decent/pretty good quality. Just be careful to not grab/carry the holder by the top green carrot greens part, as that can come off. It looks cute. I don't need to write much about it since others have already and you can see pictures. It looks like the pictures. I also appreciate that the bunny moves so it holds paper towel rolls against the carrot for easier paper ripping. I generally use 2 hands, but using 1 hand is doable, especially if you use the bunny ears to pierce the paper/start the year. This piece gets us to laugh every morning as we brew our coffee and sit together. It adds a twinkle to the start of the day, an expression of uniqueness and wonder. Unlike some Alessi products, it works extremely well, replacing the clunky, fiddly wooden thing we used to have. Recommended with enthusiasm.I love Alessi products even though $63 for a towel holder is a jagged pill swallowed. The product is 14" tall, over 6" wide, and almost 8" deep. Made of hard plastic and probably made in China since there is no 'made in ... ' print any where on the product or its information leaflet. When it holds paper towel, since a typical paper towel is 11" tall, it shows an inch of the carrot and carrot top. The bunny rotates to keep end from flipping freely. Bottom of product is non-slip. Overall, a whimsical conversation piece.A warning, however, is that the colors are not at all as pictured here. In real life, the carrot is bright neon orange, and the bunny and the base are neon green. The colors are definitely not beautifully designed as pictured: mint-green carrot top, carrot-orange carrot, yellow-green bunny, and lawn-green base.Disappointed in the colors, I exchanged the green product for blue. The blue version looks much closely to Amazon's picture, but the bunny's ears are not see-through as pictured but actually as blue as the bunny's body.9/1/12 Update: After 3 months of use, one of the non-slip rubber pieces came off. I had to glue it back in. Underneath the base, there are three screw holes that are covered with non-slip rubber pieces for aesthetic and functional reasons.I just received this & am happy with all Alessi products I have. This takes unbleached paper towels to another level & I ? itCute, looks nice, and I like how well it grips to my counter top. For some reason I thought the bunny would spin around when paper towels were removed, but that is not the case, at least for me. Yes the bunny can spin, but it has to be spun manually. This paper towel holder is great!! It is so whimsical and attractive! I luv Alessi!!!The only issue is that it is somewhat delicate. I dropped mine and the carrot broke off. The green piece at the top of the carrot can also break off if you are not careful. As long as you don't hold it too much, it will hold up. The design and colors are great though. A really fun statement.Bought to replace one we purchased in Rome years ago. The bunny and top of the carrot had broken over the years on ours. Now they are back. Whimsical Italian at its best. But so, so Chinese plastic quality. Still, it will bring a little fun into your kitchen.Absolutely brilliant. It was expensive and l wished I had bought it sooner. Makes me smile every time that I look at it. Well worth the extravagance! So so cute ..brings a cheer to my heart everytime I use it or even just see it ! I will definitely buy other A di Alessi products ....they are unique and cheerful ! Arrived within date/ time specified securely packaged. 'Thank You 'Great productVery nice !!! And fast Delivery.
